FAFSA/TAP
STRATEGIC DATA CHECK-IN
Objective:
- Ensure all students planned to graduate by August complete the FAFSA and TAP, if eligible.
Why do this SDC?
One quarter of high school students don’t complete the FAFSA due to misconceptions about eligibility and lack of technical support, among other reasons. New Visions believes that college counselors, with our support, play a crucial role in helping students and their families through this challenging process. Tracking FAFSA and TAP completion in the Portal provides multiple stakeholders with information on whether students have successfully completed this process so they can follow up accordingly.
What you'll do:
- Determine eligibility for federal and state aid.
- Support students in completing FAFSA and TAP.
- Record completion in the Portal.
